Allston Chapman
Allston is a painter and sculptor based in New York City. Raised in South Carolina her art is strongly influenced by the landscapes of the Lowcountry. Her love of travel brings her inspiration for her work. Paris remains a favorite place to visit and paint. Allston sculpts in clay and bronze as well as carving stone and wood. The Art Students League of New York City purchased her plaster relief “Portrait of a Child” for its permanent collection. She received the Nessa Cohen Award for her sculpture and was part of the inaugural class of Model to Monument at the Art Students League.
